497 Gibson County Court, April Term, 1924 "Last Will and Testament of Mattie C. Hale." I-Mrs Mattie C. Hale of Dyer,Tennessee,being of a sound and disposing mind make and publish this as my last will and testament, revoking all other by me made at any time. First it is my desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses, be paid out of the first moneys that come into the hands of my executor. Second I give and bequeath to Mrs Mertie Lee Ramsey wife of Jeff Ramsey Five hundred dollars. Third I give and bequeath to Miss. Dee Carn my niece One thousand dollars, and hereby appoint Arthur N. Carn her brother as trustee of this fund and he is to pay it to her as necessities may require from year to year for living expences. Fourth I give and bequeath to the Womans Missionary society of the M.e Church south of Dyer Tennessee, One hundred Fifty dollars, And this amount to be paid by my executor in five instalments,of thirty dollars per year for the term of five years. Fifth I give and bequeath to Arthur N. Carn and Mertie Ramsey equally my house hold and Kitchen furniture of every nature. Sixth.-I-Give bequeath and devise all the balance of estate both real and personal to Arthur N. Carn, my real estate consisting at present of my home residence and two brick store houses in Dyer Tenn. And my personal property, of stock in The Farmers & Merchants Bank,Dyer,Tenn, and stock in the Corinth Grocer Co.of Corinth Miss.and notes, and money on hand and in bank. I nominate and appoint Arthur N. Carn as my executor to this my last will and testament,and he is fully authorized by me to serve in this capacity without making bond,And he is also empowered to act as trustee for Miss.Dee Carn without making bond.
