Know all Men by these Presents, that we
  Geo  Cook
of the county of Gibson, and State of Tennessee, are held and firmly bound unto the State of Tennessee, in the sum of
twelve hundred and fifty dollars, which payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, our executors,
and each and every one of them jointly and severally by these presents. Witness our hands and seals this 12
day of Octr  1859.
   The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas the above named
hath prayed and obtained license to marry M E. Carnes Now, if the said
    be an actual resident of the said county, and there should not appear any lawful cause why the said
               and               should not be joined together in holy
matrimony, as husband and wife, then this obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
