OBITUARY OF MRS. CORILLA TURNER __o__ Mrs. Corrilla Amelia Turner, dau- ghter of Preston and Mary Davis Ramsey, was born in Gibson county Tenn., Sept. 16, 1846. She was mar- ried to Lafayette W. Turner in 1867. To this marriage was born five chil- dren, Emma, Willie, Green, Luna and Ernest. The first three children died in early childhood. Luna, who be- came Mrs. R. L. Crenshaw, died in 1911. E. L. Turner of Dyer is the only surviving child. Besides her own children she had the rearing and care of A. L. Turner from infancy to manhood, and later she had the care of his two mother-less sons, Frank and Howard. To these boys she gave the devotion and sacrifice of a real mother. Her husband died in 1908. She leaves several grand-children and other relatives to mourn her loss. She was a charter member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church, organi- zed in 1867. She continued her mem- bership with this church until her death April 23, 1926, her age being 79 years, 7 months and 7 days. Mrs. Turner was a good neighbor a true friend, a devoted mother and an exemplary christian. She had fixed principles and live close to them. Her character is above reproach. "Her children rise up and call her blessed; let her own works praise her in the gates." Funeral services were conducted by Rev. T. G.
