                           §     by and between the following
heirs at law of Thomas Thompson, dcd as grantors, viz John T.
Gordon and wife L.F. Gordon, Geo W. Brewer and wife M. A. Brewer
Wes R. Thornton and wife A.J. Thornton, A.N. Gordon wife C
Gordon Anderson Gordon immediate heir of Nancy Gordon Dcd
Nee Nancy Thompson now dead, Henry Thompson & wife L. V. Thompson
William Thompson & wife A. V. Thompson Mary Crank nee Mary
Thompson Mrs N. M. Thompson widow of John Thompson and their
Son L. A. Thompson under age and Thomy I Thompson as grantor
Witnesseth: The said Grantors for and in Consideration of
Eight Hundred and forty dollars paid by said Thomy I Thompson
to us and each of us in agreed amounts with which we are
respectively satisfied. We have bargained and sold and do hereby
sell transfer and Convey unto said F.J. Thompson his heirs and
assigns forever the following tract of land lying in Civil Dist
9 Gibson County, Tennessee, and bounded as follows:
On the West and South by the lands of L. A. Thompson and Mrs
Nancy M. Thompson; East by Mud Creek; and North by the 
land willed to Mary Crank by her father Thomas Thompson
Dsd, Containing by Estimation One hundred and twelve acres
be the same more or less, and we the said Grantors do hereby
Covenant to and with the said Thomy P. Thompson that we are
lawfully seized of said lands with perfect lawful title thereto, and that
the same is unencumbered, and further that we will and do hereby
agree to forever warrant and defend to said Thomy I Thompson his
heirs and assigns the title to the land herein Conveyed against the lawful 
claims of all persons whomsoever, Mrs N. M. Thompson hereby
undertakes to guarantee that her son L. A. Thompson shall 
Consummate and perfect to this grantor - F. J. Thompson his part
of the title when he arrives at his majority, said L. A. Thompson
represents a one fifth interest or part of said land,
   In witness of all of which the said Grantors have all thereunto
appended their names, This 5th day of March 1885

J.D. Carne clerk of the County Court of said County
Wm Thompson & R.F. Waters subscribing witnesses to the
attached Deed who being duly sworn depose and say that 
they are personally acquainted with J. T. Gordon, M. F. Gordon
William Thompson A. N. Gordon, Henry Thompson, R. W.
Thornton Mary Crank and Henry Thompson atty in fact
for Eliza E. Keas & James N. Keas, the bargainers to 
said Deed and that they acknowledge before them that they
executed the same for the purposes therein contained.

Heathcock Notary Public in and for said county duly Commissioned
and residing in the town of Milan Tenn, Geo W. Brewer
the within named bargainer with whom I am personally acquainted
and who acknowledged that he executed the within instrument for
the purposes therein Contained. And M. A. Brewer wife of
said Geo W. Brewer having appeared before me privately and
apart from her husband, the said M. A. Brewer acknowledged
the execution of the said Deed to have been don by her freely
voluntarily and unnder?? and ??gly without Compulsion or 
Constraint from her said husband and for the purposes therein
expressed
