Fly and Carne § Registered January 12 / 85 To § Deed § We J.L. Fly and J. D. Carnes W.E. Hale § have this day bargained and § sold and do hereby transfer and Convey to W. E. Hale for the Consideration of Two Hundred and fifty Dollars in Cash, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, a certain parcel or tract of land in the Second District of Gibson County Tennessee and bounded as follows. Beginning at a Black Oak Stump the South East Corner of C. C. Fly heirs lands thence East One hundred and three poles to a stake, and pointers, thence South fifty two poles to a stake and pointers, thence West One hundred and three poles to a stake, thence North fifty two poles to the beginning containing by estimation 33 acres and 7 ? . To have and to hold the same to the said W.e. Hale his heirs and assigns forever. We do further Covenant with the said W.E. Hale that we are lawfully seized of said land and that we have the right to convey it, and that the same is unencumbered. 182 We further bind ourselves, our heirs, and, assigns to warrant and defend the title of said land and every part thereof to the said W.E.
