This indenture made the 26th day of Nov 1830 be-
tween Gideon Harrison of Gibson County & State of Ten-
nessee of the one part, and James Bobbitt of Ruth-
erford County & State of Tennessee of the other part Witnes-
th that the said Gideon Harrison for & in consideration 
of the sum of three? hundred & fifty dollars to him in 
hand paid by the said James Bobbitt the receipt 
whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath given, granted, bar-
gained, sold, a___?, conveyed & confirmed unto the said 
James Bobbitt, his heirs and asigns forever a certain tract 
or parcel of land, situated, lying & being in the county 
of Gibson aforesaid, in the 15th? surveyor's District, range
of x ?? section 4th x bounded as follows, (towit) beginning 
at two Black Oaks the North west corner of H Reed's 5000 
acre tract of Land - Thence South 160 poles south? west? boun-
dry line of said Reed's tracts to a blackgum - then on East?
120 poles to a stake and thence North 160 poles to a stake 
on the North boundry line of said Reed's tract thence 
North west the same to the beginning ???? the North 
West corner of H Reed's 5000 acre tract of land 
containing 120 acres more or less to have and to hold 
the aforesaid Land, with all & singular the rights 
profits, emoluements, hereditament & apportionments of, in 
& to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to 
the only proper use & benefits of him the said James 
Bobbitt his heirs & assigns forever. And the said Gid-
eon Harrison for himself, his heirs, his operators & admin
istrators do covenant and agree with the said James 
Bobbitt his heirs & assigns that the before mentioned Land and
bargains of ???? he will ??? defend forever

against the right, title, interest or claim of every per-
son or persons whatever In testimony whereof he the 
said Gideon Harrison hath hereto put his hand and
