Resolutions Whereas, God in his infinite wis- dom has called home from her la- bors, Mrs. Arthur N. Carne, our beloved teacher and co-worker, be it resolved: First; that in the pass- ing away of Mrs. Carne our church, Sunday school and mis- sionary society has lost a valuable leader and teacher, consecrated faithful and true; and that the community has lost a noble chris- tian woman whose saintly life was an inspiration and a benediction. Second; that we thank God for her unselfish loyalty and devotion to the cause of Christ and for her beautiful example of loving serv- ice to others, especially for her short years of love and service to our church. Third; that we may emulate the example of this noble one whose outstanding virtues were faith, serene hope, patience and love that never fails. These were set forth in her daily life. She was one of those rare and lovely spirits who radiated life and love as is ex- emplified in Christ Jesus. Fourth, that although we feel keenly our loss sustained in the passing of this noble woman we bow in humble submission to His Holy Will, believing that all things work for the good of those who love the Lord. Fifth, that we extend or heartt- felt sympathy to her loved ones and that a copy of these resolu- tions be sent to the bereaved family, one to be spread upon the minutes of the Sunday school, a copy be spread upon the minutes of the Woman's Missionary So- ciety, and a copy be sent to The Tri-City Reporter for publication. Respectfully submitted. Mrs. J. E. Hall, Mrs. H. E. Smith, Mrs. Bess Freeland, Mrs. Jno. Jackson, Mrs. Jamie Baird.
