to && Deed      )	This Indenture made this 26th day of December in the 
Baker Harrison (	year of Our Lord one thousand eighty hundred and
forty four between Wm Butler of this County of Gibson and Stae of Tennessee
of the one party and Baker Harrison of the other party of the county and 
State above written. Witnesseth that the s:o Butler for and in consideration
of the Sum of two hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the
s? Baker Harrison the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged haft given
granted bargained Sold alunated conveyed and Confirmed unto the said
Baker Harrison his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of
land Situated lying and being in the county of Gibson and State of
Tennessee the land being a part of a Three Thousand acre tract granted by 
the State of North Carolina to Henry Rutherford bounded as follows
Beginning at William Pillory north west corner running thence east
Two hundred and twenty two poles to a Red Oak thence north Seventy two 
poles to a hickory thence west two hundred and twenty two poles to a
Stake thence South Seventy Two poles to the beginning containing
One hundred acres be the S???? more or less To Have and to hold the
aforesaid land with all and Singular ?? rights profits emoliaments
heredita???? and appertenancy of in and to the Same belonging or in
any wise appertaining to the only proper use and ??? of ??? the 
said Baker Harrison his heirs and assigns forever and the said Wm
Butler for himself- his heirs Executors and administrators do covenant and 
agree with the said Baker Harrison his heirs or assigns that the before 
??? land and bargained for ??? will warrant and forever defend
against the rights title Interest or claim of all and every person
whatsoever in witness whereof the said Wm Butler hath hereunto set his
hand and affixed his seal this day and year above written
